ANC Education Collaborated with The University of West London in 2012 with the aspiration of providing the largest portfolio of British Masters Programmed in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the ANC- UWL collaboration has paved the way to over thousand postgraduate students who obtain an internal MBA/ MSc or LLM qualification and has enabled them to progress in to global career opportunities.
The range of required executive skills has grown in scope; both hard and soft requirements have expanded. The ability to demonstrate leadership competency, strategic thinking, sound decision making and execution, relationship building, tech-understanding, deep familiarity with financial issues, political savviness, presentation and excellent communication skills and a reputation for ethical conduct will help you to advance to the executive role.
The module will enable you to diagnose strategic business issues concerning competitive advantage and to set a strategic agenda. Strategic reflexivity, agility, and proactivity can help the leader to explore the possible opportunities and achieve the best level of minimising treads. In particular, you will explore new approaches to critical factors such environmental scanning, strategic direction, evaluating quantitatively and qualitatively the strategy’s longevity and effectiveness.
The module will enable you to drive organisational transformation and improvement in a global context. Especially, you will explore different disruptive technologies and what causes what and why. Case studies of several organisations are taken to understand how their businesses have been disrupted by technology and how disruptive technology could impact the future of the global industry. Particular, you will examine decision support systems.
The module will enable you to establish a financial system for management and control. Specifically, you will be better able to conduct analysis concerning decision-making for growth and management. In particular, you will examine financial data to make sense of financial reports, explore types of analysis necessary to develop solid financing decisions, evaluate projects and make decisions that create greater value and employ proven forecasting methods to support financing decisions.
The module demonstrates the way in which a business plan is linked to planning and forecasting of business activities. It provides a step-by-step guidance to identify strategic business problems and critically address and evaluate potential solutions. The different possible uses of a business plans are discussed and their development in specific organisational contexts.
An honours degree 2.2 or equivalent recognised by University of West London ; or Full Membership (i.e. Associate or Fellow) of UK recognised Professional Body (e.g. CIM, CIMA, ACCA) through completion of examinations.
Minimum of 3 years management experience at middle/ senior management level.
